About the Course
World Geography 7 is a survey course about the different cultures of the World. Here is a list of topics covered each quarter:
- Quarter 1: Summer Reading Review; Map skills; 5 Themes of Geography; Ch. 3 (Population and Culture); United States geography; Civics
- Quarter 2: Unit 2 (Ch.5-8): The United States and Canada
- Quarter 3: Unit 3 (Ch. 9-13): Latin America
- Quarter 4: Unit 9 (Ch. 30-34): East Asia and the Pacific World
There is no final exam for the course. The required textbook is World Geography: Building a Global Perspective. Students can access the book online at pearsonsuccessnet.com
About Mr. Monaco:
Mr. Monaco has been teaching for the past 7 years at ‘Iolani School in the history department. His hobbies include exercising, ocean sports, and reading. He cheers for the Boston Red Sox!
